Have you ever noticed how much brighter everyone seems when the sun comes out?

There are many good reasons why people are happier in the warmer, sun-soaked months. Sunshine provides people with many health benefits, so whilst you need to be careful and moderate the exposure to the sun to avoid sunburn and other harmful effects, there is a bright side to sunshine (excuse the pun) for our health, and here are some reasons why.

The benefits of Vitamin D:

When sunlight hits the skin, it triggers the production of Vitamin D in your body, and this is a crucial ingredient for overall health and wellbeing. Vitamin D can help protect against inflammation, lowers blood pressure, helps muscles, improves brain function and may even help to protect against some cancers.

De-stress:

Exposure to sunlight can also have a huge impact on de-stressing, reducing depression and improving sleep quality. It goes without saying that most people are much happier when they’re getting the right amount of Z’s and sleeping well. When the sun is out and people are getting some Vitamin D, life can look a whole lot brighter.

Why Adelaide’s coastal suburbs are great for your health:

The coastal areas of Adelaide are fabulous for getting out and about in the sunshine with almost unlimited potential for enjoying the fresh air and the great outdoors. You can grab the kids and go for a bike ride along one of the many coastal walking/ cycling trails, or for a hike along some of the more rugged coastline areas Adelaide has on offer.

On top of the health benefits of the sunshine, in our opinion, there is nothing quite like the smell of fresh sea air to lift your spirits. Combined, the sunshine and fresh sea air make an unbeatable combination to have you feeling great and re-energized.

Living the coastal lifestyle:

Getting out and about in Adelaide’s coastal suburbs will give you the best of both worlds, and so much more. You can breathe in the fresh sea air and soak up the sunshine whilst relaxing at one of the many local businesses or taking a walk along the beach.

Whatever you choose to do, be sure to get out and about by the coast in Adelaide and soak up some much-needed Vitamin D. You’ll be glad you did!

And, if that fresh sea air is something you’d like to make a permanent part of your lifestyle, give us a call and we can help make that a reality for you, regardless of whether you’re looking to buy or to rent by the coast.
