With school holidays fast approaching in Adelaide, it’s time to start thinking about keeping those little minds active.

The July school holidays can be a bit more challenging than the summer holidays in keeping the little ones busy.

It’s often wet and wild outside; there are no trips to the beach, and even a trip to the park can be challenging if mother nature is not playing ball.

So, what are some of the things you can do with kids in Adelaide this school holidays?

Well, we are glad you asked. There are loads of things to do; here are our top five.

Get creative

Get those creative juices flowing by joining Little Picassos this school holidays.

They have two studios located in Adelaide; one in our neck of the woods Glenelg and one in Hyde Park

Their Art programs have something for everyone, classes with accompanying adults from 2 years, drop and go sessions from 4.5 years for 1, 2 or 3 hours, half and full day experiences in a variety of mediums including drawing painting, printmaking, sculpture, clay, textiles and construction.

Classes are running Monday 8th July to Friday 19th July.

Not quite the beach but almost!

Take the kids to The Beachouse this school holidays.

They have a Wicked Warmer Special: 100 Minutes of Awesome Dry Rides and Arcade Games for $30

They’ll have loads of fun with 100 minutes of unlimited time on the following: Dodgem Cars, Arcade Games, Mini Golf, Carousel and Train.

Winter Wonderland

Go ice skating at the bay in the heart of Glenelg this July break. The beachside skating rink is back for another year and provides fun in the all-weather, clear-domed beachside marquee.

With prices for skating starting from $15, it’s a great way to enjoy some family time and get some exercise in.

From 28th June to 22nd July.

Nature Play SA

For one day only this July, Cubby Town will be happening at Belair National Park.

Wednesday, 17th July join in with the fun and get the little ones outdoors.

Tickets are limited and capped so get in quick.

South Australian Maritime Museum

If adventure is more your style, join Captain Salmonbeard and his reluctant crew during the holidays at the South Australian Maritime Museum for a dangerous adventure on the seven seas.

Monday 8th to Friday 19th July 2019, Weekdays.
