A safe sanctuary at home
2022 has started off to a somewhat rocky start, and whilst we can’t control what is going on in the greater world right now, you can try and cultivate a sense of calm at home.

There are some simple things you can do to create a sanctuary at home whilst the world spins on around you.

Here are some tips:

Create a quiet space

If you have a busy home with multiple family members, or if you are a person that leads a busy life, select a place within your home to be your “quiet space”.

Fill that spot with things you love, things that bring you joy and things that calm you – Books, music, soft lighting, etc.

Get rid of excess items

A chaotic and messy home can lead to anxiety and stress.

So before adding the blissful touches, you need to get rid of the clutter.

This may be a challenge, but once crossed off your list, you will feel cleansed.

Bring the outdoors in

Now it's time to add the touches that will make your home ooze with serenity.

Start by bringing in some greenery. Leafy plants of yellow and greens make us feel calmer and one with nature.

Candles and essential oils

Candles and an oil burner full of essential oils really do make a home feel more relaxed and homely.

Nothing feels more luxurious than coming home to the smell of a beautiful candle or a diffuser burning.
